Academy for Peace and Development

DPHU has concluded the Agreement with Reflexion Center of united Nations whose more than 280 Members states (https://www.crn-nations.org/etats-membres). This agreement is mainly focusing on academy for peace and development.

Aligning with the above academy different scientific research and publication are being done.

In development context DPHU is planning the annual conference at IRGIB Africa University in Benin(https://cirep-unilis.com/).

In contemporary capitalism, knowledge replaces natural resources and labor-intensive industry as the primary source of wealth creation and economic growth. According to some, the university is a factory. As a result, its role as an economic and social institution is becoming increasingly important. R. Florida and W. M. Cohen, however, note the weakness of the conceptual foundations of a theory of the university.

For a year now, DPHU, CRN and seven other partners have been putting together the Rendez-vous du Savoir. The primary aim of this annual event is to bring together the business and academic communities.

Universities are generally considered to be the sphere of knowledge, an important link in economic and social development, and no longer the institution that works in “isolation” on fundamental research projects. Instead, it is becoming a source of new ideas that can be incorporated into innovation development processes.

Goal 16 of sustainable development is to promote peaceful and inclusive societies, to ensure access to justice for all, and to build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. Within this framework, public authorities, civil society and communities must work together to find lasting solutions to conflict and insecurity. Strengthening the rule of law and promoting human rights are essential to this process, as are reducing the flow of illicit weapons, fighting corruption and ensuring inclusive participation at all times. However, structural injustices, inequalities and new human rights challenges make the advent of peaceful and inclusive societies even more distant.

To help achieve Goal 16 (Peace, justice and effective institutions), DPHU works with its partners to promote measures aimed at rebuilding trust and strengthening the capacity of institutions to ensure justice for all and facilitate peaceful transitions towards sustainable development. The programs established within this framework are as follows:

  • Co-supervision of PhD theses in Peace Administration with UNCR University
  • Preparation and execution of projects to promote peace, justice and institutional capacity-building for sustainable development
  • Education for peace, justice and human rights through national education systems
  • Peace and cultural education program for patriots living in foreign countries (Diaspora).
