University Profile

DPHU as an engine of sustainable development was founded in February 2012, 8:25am in Territoire d’Uvira Quartier Kilibula, Avenue Kyonga No 64. It was first registered as Non-Government Organization under the DRC Ministry of justice (no F92-42742) then got the license to open and run the academic programs by the ministry of higher education in DRC (no MINESU/DESP/165/0733/SG/160/2902/2013).

According to its text of creation DPHU can open different centers aboard to fulfill its missions of teaching and facilitating an online open and distance learning education in Bachelor, Masters and PHD.

The approval of DPHU by the Ministry of Higher Education in DRC no MINESU/ESU/DEOD/1612/0219/2022 as an Institute authorized to run distances learning and authenticates that DPHU has opened different centers in the European Union (Finland) and United States (Delaware).  

This philosophy led DPHU to have a reputation in collaboration with 72 partner universities worldwide from 4 Continents. DPHU as an International University has the approval from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Democratic Republic of Congo; the Ministry of Higher education of Cameroun to operate in Cameroun; the Ministry of Higher education of Niger. DPHU is collaborating with different Research Centers such as Afro-European for Medical Research Network(AEMRN) in Switzeland, United National Council for Social Economic Forum (UNECOSOC) in Geneva; DPHU collaborates with an Applied Research Group for Development through Innovation in Africa (GRADIAF) and INSA Strasbourg is an engineering and architecture school. DPHU shaped the collaboration with the big enterprises and industries: Swede Energy in DRC and Blue Solar in China. DPHU is collaborating with the International Chamber for Consulting and Promotion (CICP) in France.

Additionally, DPHU collaborates with the Reflexion Center of United Nations, connecting with over 280 member states (https://www.crn-nations.org/etats-membres). The university has an interuniversity e-learning platform, Interuniversity Research Center, a Scientific Review, Interuniversity Digital Lab, an Academy of Peace and Development. In addition, the University built the scholarship system where the graduate from DPHU Partner Universities are given the scholarship to continue the Master’s and PhD studies in USA and Canada. DPHU university’s governance is managed by highly qualified staff members and extends its operations through the information and recruitment centers in Cameroon, Burundi, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Dominica Republic, Cyprus, UK, Russia, China, Finland, Delaware.
